Banana Bread takes the liquid form in my smoothie adaption - it's all totally Vegan (and tasty!) too!
The idea for this recipe crossed my mind last night while I was at the supermarket. I was there to pick up ingredients to make banana bread (yes, that recipe will be posted next!) when I began thinking about how thirsty I was. You know when you’re so thirsty you can’t concentrate on anything? Well, that was happening, but I was still trying to power through (okay, I’m exaggerating about this level of thirst a little) and get the banana bread ingredients, when I started thinking about how good it would be in smoothie form.
I’ve had regular banana smoothies, of course – they’re my favourite, especially mixed with a bit of peanut butter (yum!). However, I love banana bread, and it’s definitely one of my favourite dessert types. So, while gathering my ingredients, I decided to grab a few extras to experiment with, smoothie style. 😎
Add all ingredients to a blender, and pulse until smooth. Drizzle a little maple syrup on top and garnish with some cinnamon and nutmeg (optional), and serve immediately.
